Time for a change

I know that I have been super super bad about keeping up on this blog, BUT I have vowed to myself that I am going to be better about it. Really I mean it this time...

Well I alot has sure happened since last time I wrote. Christmas came and went, we had a wonderful 1st Christmas together. Even got our first tree. I also super suprised Vern with the cutest puppy in the world. He was scared of his new daddy for the first few days. His name is Titan he is a sweet little guy. We love him to pieces. He is our one and only baby for the time being. And now he loves his daddy.. he cuddles him and licks his ears all the time.

Vern and I decided it was time to give up living in an apartment too. Not that it was a hard choice to make... We hated our neighbors. They were the most horrible people ever! Called the cops on them a few times.. I just don't understand how people can be such horrible parents. ANYWAY.. we bought a cute little house out in West Jordan. We aren't very far from our family anymore. We live about 5 minutes away from both my parents and Vern's sister Charlene. Its so nice to be close to family. I thought I had some pictures on this computer but I don't.. I will post some soon. Honest.

Vern & I have been married a whole year now! I seem to think time has gone by so fast.. But he sure doesn't I guess when you have been with someone for 3 years.. you don't really count after the first.. to a guy that is. I love Vern he is the best thing that has happened to me. I don't know what I would do without him. We spent our anniversary at the Anniversary Inn, in Logan. It was a wonderful night. We had had to change rooms because the one we had picked.. well I had was having some plumbing issues... but it was a goot thing because we got an upgrade for free! So nice of them :)

It was time in the life to do something for myself. Something that I had always wanted to do.. but I was a little scared. I love cupcakes. I bake all the time now, and I wanted to show my love of cupcakes to the world. SO I got a cupcake tattoo! It was only somewhat painful. But it was well worth it. Now I will always be reminded that I love cupcakes and that life is just to sweet. Vern also has a tattoo that he got done a year or so ago. Its pretty evil.. and I love it :) And yes that is my name on his body... he really loves me :)

Well i will post some pictures of my house soon... and some new pictures of my sweet niece and nephew. Gotta love the growing kids!

Cake Decorating Class

So I have had the opportunity to take a cake decorating class at Michael's. It has been a learning experience for me to say the least. I had a hard time at first learning how to get the frosting just right and the roses to look perfect. I have for sure come a long way in the cake decorating way.
I know that I am not a pro or anything but maybe one day I will. PSSSSS Vern LOVES my cakes :)

Here are some cakes I have done so far.

Busy Busy Weekend

So we had a busy weekend, or should I said that I did. Vern had to work so I got to hang out and do fun stuff ( well for me it was fun). Went to the Scrapbook Expo with my mom on Friday and let me just tell you I have never seen so many crazy women in my life! I mean there were woman in their pj's ones with no shoes AND even ones with their children on leashes! What in the crap is up with that?! I must say I did buy a ton of stuff that I better put to some good use! I think I spent about 50 bucks which isn't all to bad. My cousin Sheri had been there since 4 am! Crazy stuff if you ask me! Then Saturday was Charlene's baby shower it was a great turn out! She gots lots of cool and super cute baby stuff! They got the baby's room done and it looks super cute! Pink and Brown I just love love love the colors! But as of right now she is still not telling anyone what the baby girls name is going to be. Silly girl I know. But it was a great and very busy weekend. I can't wait until the weekend comes. I hope that it is a bit less busy to. I need my rest some days too.

The true feeling of losing one

You always see it on the news, were someone has lost a loved one at such a young age. You always tend to feel bad for the family and just pray that it will never happen to you. But then one day out of the blue it does happen to you, and you are in total shock. Last Friday night I lost one of my younger cousins in a car accident. She was killed on impact. And all because someone some freakn' idiot didn't stop at a spot sign. I mean How does someone not stop at one of those?! It has been a tough past couple of days I must say. Her Dad was in Iraq at the time and her older sister had just left 2 weeks ago to start her carrer in the Air Force. Lucky for us Uncle Kevin ( Her Dad) was able to come home from his tour and stay home. My Aunt Ruth has been so strong through this whole process I don't know how she can be but I guess someone has too. You know I always knew there was a reason that I didn't know I would figure out until now, and that was why they bought a house with their backyard pretty much a cemetry. I guess everything happens for a reason and this is the reason that they would buy the house. A sad reason for sure but at least they will always know where she is. That Chelise sure was a crazy one thats for sure. But she was always there for her younger siblings and I think that they are going to miss that the most. Her funeral was a very tough one to say the least. I don't think I have seen that many kids in a long long time. There were about 200 high school kids there to show their respect for their deal friend, and most were in orange. Her favorite color. It was a sad and sarrow time but I have always felt that everything happens for a reason, even if at first we don't know that reason. It could take years to truly find the real reason of this sudden taking of our loved one. I will miss her little attitude that she always had. Very sweet girl I just wished I could get one last hug from her. Just one last one.

Rest In Peace Chelise Annette Locher. 11-25-91 to 9-5-08

Its been a while

Well I got to thinking today that I should more then likely keep up on this blog thing a bit more then what I have been doing. So here goes.
Life has had its ups and downs alot lately. I am super hating living in an apartment. Its horrible. It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have super crappy upstairs neighbors. Their kids scream and run all the time, the parents yell and swaer at their kids. Its pretty unbelievable. And they claim since they were living there first it shouldn't matter. Which is complete crap if you ask me. I am going to start to see if there is a way out of our lease. But I am sure there isn't. We only have untill April 1st, 2009 but that sure seems so far away I mean really. But I guess thats life for you. You aren't always going to have great neighbors and you aren't always going to like where you are living. But we will manage.

Well I will write again soon. Honest.

First Blog!

Its kind of hard to know where to start. But we will try anyway. Vern & I have been married just about 3 months now and its just wonderful. I can't even begin to tell you how great it is to wake up to your best friend everyday. Life is just great right now. Well except for the fact that we live in an apartment that I can't sem to stand, but I will just have to deal with it. We are planning on getting a house in a year or so. Bills are in much need of getting paid off before we start to look into things like a house. Vern is very much enjoying his job at the jail, he worked so hard to get there and well he loves it. Which is great, and which is evening better that I work there too. Its nice to carpool when we work and just talk about things. But not much has been happening around here just trying to get bills paid and take care of ourselves, its plenty of work.
